This wine is a blend of two clones, 622 and Vieux Chateau Certan, of Cabernet Franc grown at Roblar Estate Vineyard. Crushed into small open top fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure. The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (15% new oak). Deep ruby color with aromas of red plum, black currant, with notes of violet and peppery spice. Well structured, with rich layers of dark fruit and a long finish.
