This wine is a blend of two clones, 622 and Vieux Chateau Certan, of Cabernet Franc grown at Roblar Estate Vineyard. Crushed into small open top fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure. The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (15% new oak). Deep ruby color with aromas of red plum, black currant, with notes of violet and peppery spice. Well structured, with rich layers of dark fruit and a long finish.

The “Alban” clone Grenache grown at Roblar Estate Vineyard’s ideal combination of light rocky soil and moderate climate, makes a wine of exceptionally deep color and rich structure.  A small amount of Syrah was added to further accentuate the lush fruit character of this wine. Deep ruby color, aromas of bright cherry, plum, notes of vanilla with concentrated flavors of cherry and plum, rich fruit finish.

Made from an outstanding hillside Napa vineyard located above Calistoga.  This vineyard’s terraced vines growing in light volcanic soils yield richly concentrated fruit. This elegantly textured wine displays richly layered black currant and dark plum aromas of classic Napa Cab aromas with a rich structure, layers of dark berry flavor, with a long, oppulent finish. 97% Cabernet Sauvingon and 3% Petit Verdot aged in 50% new French oak barrels for 22 months.

This G.S.M. is comprised of 31% Grenache , 58% Syrah, 11% Mourvedre from our estate vineyard. The grapes were crushed into small fermenters and fermented on the skins for two weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine and then aged for 17 months in French oak barrels. Deep ruby color with aromoas of dark plum with notes of cherry and blueberry. Layered fruit flavors, rich mouthfeel and a long finish.

This wine is made from our Roblar Estate Vineyard with a small amount of Grenache and Syrah blended in to frame and elevate the classic Mourvedre flavors. 76% Mourvedre, 20% Grenache, 4% Syrah. Crushed into small open top fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure. The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels (neutral). Bright ruby color with aromoas of blueberry with notes of violet and thyme. Fresh flavors of blueberry and dried plum, with medium body and long fruit finish.

This wine is made from a small block of Peitit Verdot with a small amount of our “Big Ben” block of Merlot to broaden the base. Crushed into small open top fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure then the wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (20% new oak). Deep ruby color with aromas of concentrated blueberry and violet with black currant and blueberry flavors and full structure with a long fruit finish.

This wine is a blend of Pinot Noir lots from two exceptional Santa Rita Hills Vineyards.   Zotovich Vineyard (clones 113 and 114), grown close to the ocean in white sandy soil, provides bright almost perfume-like Pinot Noir flavors.  The steep hillside Sebastiano Vineyard (“Swan” clone) provides rich structure and concentrated flavors. Deep ruby color with aromas of fresh berries, slightly toasty, with hint of vanilla. Well structured with classic Santa Rita Pinot flavors and long full finish.

This Red Wine blend showcases the depth of flavor that our vineyards can produce. Lots from the best areas of our vineyard were selected and blended to create the optimum in flavor expression. Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Grenache are all from the Roblar Estate Vineyard. The grapes were crushed into small fermenters, cold-soaked for three days to extract rich color then the must fermented on the skins for three weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine. Aged for 22 months in finest “tight-grain” French oak barrels. A total of ten barrels (30% new) were individually selected to compose this exquisite blend. Dark ruby color with rich aromas of blackberry, spice and dark fruit. Complex structure with rich layers of flavor, a full mouthfeel and a long fruit finish.
