This wine is a blend of two clones, 622 and VCC (Vieux Chateau Certan), of Cabernet Franc grown at Roblar Estate Vineyard. With the vineyard’s light rocky soil and moderate climate, the grapes develop a wonderful depth of classic Cabernet Franc flavor.
Palate: well structured, with rich layers of dark fruit and long finish
Fermentation: Crushed into small open top fermenters and cold-soaked for two days, the must was inoculated and fermented on the skins for two weeks to develop full rich flavor and structure.
Color: Deep ruby
Aromas: red plum, black currant, with notes of violet and peppery spice
