Grenache and Mourvedre are grown in Edna Valley, just inland from Pismo Beach. Bright, concentrated flavors develop in this cool climate. Syrah is grown in Paso Robles, where well drained soils and warm climate develop depth and richness in the flavors of these grapes.
The grapes were crushed into small fermenters. After cold-soaking for two days to extract rich color, the must fermented on the skins for two weeks to obtain a richly extracted wine.
